Not Me Monday – #24

I love Not Me! Monday created by My Charming Kids so I’ll take this time to reflect on what I did not do this past week. Please take a moment to visit MckMama’s blog to see what she has not been up to herself.

I did not make the mistake AGAIN of buying whole bean Caribou Coffee from Target when I meant to buy ground. Especially since we don’t have a coffee grinder. I didn’t discover this AGAIN after getting home and I didn’t get irritated AGAIN that the packages look virtually the same.  And I don’t say AGAIN because I did this EXACT same thing in June. Of course, not me. I don’t make the SAME mistake twice. I learn from them of course.

I did not let our boys play in their toy bins. And by “in” I mean climb in and sit. Of course I wouldn’t, especially since it stretches them out. So I don’t encourage and even capture this with a camera. And I don’t think some of the pictures turned out absolutely adorable. I didn’t get about 30 of these pictures and I didn’t just spend about 20 minutes trying to narrow down which ones to include in this post. I definitely didn’t do this.

I didn’t feel a little guilty last night after serving our boys hot dogs while my in-laws and my husband and I ate big juicy steaks. It may have helped that they really don’t like steak and it would especially be hard for Warren to chew but it would still feel  a little odd. And while having this dinner I didn’t let my little guy play with his mashed potatoes and some steak sauce by stiring it together and slapping his spoon on it.  I NEVER let them play with their food so I didn’t let him do this.

For my son’s 3rd birthday party this past Saturday I did NOT get an awesome CARS cake loaded with green and BLACK buttercream icing. Of course I wouldn’t subject my guests to black teeth by getting this cake just because I knew my son would love it. Nope not me!

And lastly, we didn’t arrive to our party at the aquarium exactly at 11:00 when I party started at 11:00. Never would we be almost late to our own party. So obviously no guests were already waiting there when we arrived. No, really, of course not. (oops…)
