I was inspired by Sarah from The Ohana Mama who was inspired by Trisha at MomDot to see if my wedding dress still fit.
Since yesterday was my seven year anniversary I thought it was perfect timing to pull it out and see how it fits. It has been hanging in a bag in our basement since we got married and I surprisingly haven’t taken it out since. It was a little bit musty and a little dirty since I am a bad girl and *gasp* I never had it professionally cleaned and preserved.
I weigh virtually the same as I did when we got married but unfortunately having two kids back to back has changed my body shape. I can get it zipped up most of the way but not entirely. Can you tell? I did try to stand strategically since the zipper would slowly come down as I moved. I’m sure that would have been funny to watch had I vlogged it. I even stood on a chair for you so you could better see my dress since I took the my pictures myself. (And yes, that is a black bra strap. Oops.)
It might not exactly fit but I can’t complain. I’ll take close enough and be satisfied for now! I have no plans for this dress, especially with two boys but who knows? Maybe I’ll come up with something cool to do with it but since I’m definitely no seamstress it will probably sit forever in our basement and I’ll take it out every seven years to see if it still fits. 🙂

Not bad for 7 years! I would try mine on, but I am sure I would have a belly issue these days!

Wow, that is such a beautiful dress and awesome that you can still fit it! I tossed my dress years ago and can guarantee there’s no way it would fit these days.
