I have never received breakfast in bed for Mother’s Day. I’ve dropped hints (many times), but for some reason my husband still hasn’t surprised me. Even though I prefer to eat breakfast after I’ve had a chance to really wake up, there seems something magical about breakfast in bed.
I love the idea of waking up to my husband and kids coming into the bedroom carrying a tray of deliciousness that they lovingly prepared. It is a very affordable, yet thoughtful gift. It isn’t hard, even for someone who doesn’t normally cook.
But it is special.
It is no secret that I love breakfast foods. I blog often about my adventures in the kitchen and more often than not, they are breakfast related. So it should really be no shock that I thought it would be fun to create a collection of Mother’s Day recipe that inspire and are perfect for breakfast in bed. I’ve covered ideas that can be made a day ahead of time, those that go straight to your hips, and a couple of healthy options.
