Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question:
How many dates would you guess you average per year?

My answer:
Last year I think we got two. This year we already have had two so we are on a roll. I’m thinking by the end of the year we may be up to four! It might be time to find an actual babysitter. 🙂

  1. We try to get out at least twice a month. We were supposed to go tonight, but I have a cold so we're gonna cancel. I'm so bummed. :(((

My parents love to babysit, which is a major blessing!

  2. hmmm, this year I would say approx 12 dates. We couldn't say that earlier in our marriage however. It's REALLY hard when kids are so young. Our oldest is finally old enough that we can sneak away for a couple hours.

  3. I think we are creating a annual tradition because me and my husband never get out of the house without at least 1 kid, but in august my mom comes out for 3-5 days and keeps the kids while me and him go out to vegas (he plays in a basketball tournament by day and we get 3-4 nights out alone. 🙂

  4. Easy….NONE! ZIP! ZILCH! ZERO! NADA! We need to get out more. We don't have a sitter or family nearby. When family is visiting we do things with everyone. By the end of the day we are too tired to go out. Have a great weekend and take care.

*the last time we did go out was two Christmases ago for dinner.

  5. We do not have one person that we trust to watch our toddler, so in two years, we have had zero.

  6. Lets see…365, or 366 in a leap year.

    =)

Oh…you mean dates as in going OUT on one? Hmmm…single mom…taxi driver for an active teen…like I have time to date…lol…

  7. The Hubs is retired and I'm disabled — we spend pretty much every minute together. I have book club once a month if I'm up to it and try to have a girls night out/in every couple of months, other than that we are always together and we never have date nights, the kids are grown up and out of the house — we are so boring. Plus when we go some where, we usually take our little "baby" – the dog. When I type this out, god we sound so lame!!!
