Have you seen the new Peanuts Movie that hit theaters earlier this month? I was so excited to see such great reviews from critics. I can’t wait to bring my family to relive some of my own childhood as Peanuts have always been a favorite. Tyson is an official partner with the new Peanuts Movie and they’ve been helping us gear up for seeing this new release. I created this fun Charlie Brown inspired chicken wrap lunch using Tyson Crispy Tenders.
It isn’t hard to feed your whole gang with a 3lb. bag of Tyson Crispy Tenders from Sam’s Club. And since I hit up Sam’s Club often, it was easy to pick up a bag of them during my most recent shopping trip.
I like to purchase fresh produce from Sam’s Club and thought it would be a great way to bring The Peanuts Movie into our meal with some iconic yellow and black.
To create my Charlie Brown inspired fruit cup, I simply cut up some mango and added a few blackberries in a line to loosely resemble Charlie Brown’s shirt. Pineapple would also work great for this!
I followed this same idea when creating my chicken wrap as well. I used shredded cheddar cheese and yellow tomatoes but some sweet orange and yellow peppers would also have been a nice touch.
Your kids can add a favorite sauce such as ranch or honey mustard to complete their wrap. This was a super easy and tasty way to enjoy Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips.
- 4 Tyson Cripsy Chicken Strips
- 4 tortillas, warmed
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup diced yellow tomatoes or yellow peppers
- black olives
- ranch dressing or honey mustard (optional)
- Prepare chicken strips according to package directions.
- Add warm chicken to tortilla and sprinkle with cheese and tomatoes and/or peppers.
- Top with sliced black olives in a straight line down the middle.
- Serve immediately with ranch or honey mustard, if desired.
I like that Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips contain 100% all natural ingredients with 15 grams of protein. It also helps that these strips are fully cooked for easy preparation. But most of all, I like that just by following a simple color scheme, I was able to able to make a meal more fun! I hope it inspires you to switch things up a bit for your family’s next meal. Give this Charlie Brown inspired wrap and fruit cup a try before seeing the film in theaters or as you watch a Peanuts classic movie at home.
