It can be hard to stay hydrated. Just ask my husband who loves to run or my six year old who can easily over-heat in hot weather. Whether you love the outdoors, participate in sports, or enjoy working out, it is crucial to drink plenty of water during rigorous activities. And with the flu and cold season upon us, it is important to have something on hand to prevent dehydration during illness. Regardless of lifestyle, everyone can appreciate a product like DripDrop, a medical grade hydration powder. When I was asked to test it out, I was really curious about the taste.

What is DripDrop?

DripDrop provides a simple, cost-effective solution that empowers everyone to treat mild to moderate dehydration with a safe, medical-grade solution. Hydration powder packets fit easily in the medicine cabinet, travel kit, purse and gym bag, so it’s there when you need it. Simply mix with water and consume.

Why Use DripDrop Hydration Powder?

Developed by a Mayo-trained family physician, DripDrop contains a golden ratio of ingredients – including sodium, sugars and potassium –which absorb quickly and help you recover faster than any other hydration product on the market. In fact, DripDrop has been shown to hydrate 34% faster than water alone, and 20% faster than a sports drink.

DripDrop Hydration Powder in Water

Preparing DripDrop hydration powder is very easy. Simply add to 8 oz of water and stir. It instantly dissolves and I found nothing was left behind. It works great to put into water bottles and give a few shakes to mix in.

What did we think? My youngest son declared it to his lemonade, which wasn’t surprising since we received the lemon flavor. He loved it and acted like it was a special treat. This is very different than the reaction I’ve received in the past when trying to treat dehydration with a children’s oral electrolyte solution. I personally found the flavor to be really good, but a bit sweet for my tastes. I simply added a bit more water until I found the right balance.
