Last week I spilled that I was getting the new Frigidaire Gallery® Range with Symmetry™ Double Oven, and now it have officially arrived! After almost a week with the oven, we’ve had quite the time getting “acquainted”. In case you don’t remember, this was what my old stove looked like. Yeah, not so exciting.
And now, this is my new Frigidaire stove. While we loved the look of the stainless steel, we decided to go with black to match a majority of our other appliances. Nothing like a shiny, new oven. Seriously. My old one was badly in need of a cleaning and now I’m starting over fresh with a beautiful interior!
This stove overall has a very classy look, right down to the Frigidaire Gallery emblem on the front.
One of my favorite new features of the stove is having two ovens. Being able to cook at two different temperatures simultaneously is such a luxury. And knowing exactly what temperature each oven is at is very easy with the digital display, even while the ovens are preheating
With simple one touch options, it is easy to select the proper settings including setting the timer, temperature and more. I will admit I chuckled a bit when I saw the “chicken nugget” setting, mostly because this is a higher end stove. It is easy to overlook however since admit I heat up chicken nuggets on a regular basis for my boys.
One of my very first test runs with the oven included making pumpkin raisin muffins. Being able to look through the door of the oven and watch them cook was such a treat. I didn’t try out the convection because I wanted to get a feeling for the regular settings but I look forward to trying that out too!
These muffins cooked slower than they would have in my old oven but still within the recommended time range. It felt as though it would be harder to burn these muffins as they seemed to brown so evenly and were so fluffy. A couple of days later I made some simple refrigerated biscuits and my husband couldn’t stop raving about them. He asked if they were super fresh or if I had done something different because they seemed so fluffy. All I could say was no, actually they were close to their use by date and the only difference was the stove. It didn’t stop him from going on and on.
Watch for more posts regarding my experiences with my new Frigidaire and it’s features including the cooktop and convection settings coming soon!

It looks wonderful! I would love to use that, too! I love the digital control panel and the colors!
OMG that is soo amazing! super jealous! it’s gorgeous!!!
That oven looks amazing Em! I bet you’re going to be baking up a storm.
Here’s a question though, since the ovens are separate, is it always 2 small ovens or can you use it all at one temp to bake something big like a turkey?
It is two smaller ovens always but they are both big enough to cook a 28 lb turkey which is plenty for me! I’m actually loving that I don’t have to bend down as far for the top oven which I use the most. 🙂 My mom has double ovens with the top oven being larger and the lower oven being quite a bit smaller. At this point in my life I actually like having them both be the same size. The only thing it would stop be from making would be a tall 3D cake. But I had issues with that in my old oven so I wasn’t going to do it again anyway. (Darn thing burned my brand new cookie sheet because it had to be so low to avoid the heating element.)
The top of technology I’m sure. Did you have to go to school to learn how to cook with all that gadget stuff & mumbo jumbo because it sure looks complicated to me. Then again I’m an old fashion kind of girl, and always worked with gas ranges. Sure hope it comes with a warranty too! What about power surges? Aren’t worried about that? Well, I wish you luck with it. I’ll be following you just to see how it works out. It’s a beautiful range for sure! I bet you’ll be doing a lot of baking this Christmas! Oh by the way, you can send over some of those delicious looking muffins ya got there! mmmm NUMMERS!
Actually, it isn’t hard at all to understand! I read the directions regarding the glass cooktop because I’ve never worked with one and all the warnings. But I started using it almost right away and it was very easy to work with.
I was not at all worried about power surges but I just asked my husband if I should be. He said that we have a modern breaker box and the wire from the outlet to box is close by so he isn’t worried in the least. I had no idea but I learned something. 🙂
And you can stop over any time for muffins! I think I have an obsession with breakfast breads as I just made more muffins over the weekend. I can’t help myself!
Awesome oven! Love the two smaller ovens! All the baking you cna do with this new beauty!
