I’ll never forget when I was first introduced to Jurassic Park. I distinctly remember my dad reading Michael Crichtons’s book while we were on vacation when I was 12 years old. We were staying in a cabin on lake and we came prepared with plenty of books to relax and pass some of the time. My dad loved the book so much that I started reading it after him. The following year the movie came out. It was pretty ground breaking at the time. The special effects were top notch and the action kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved it! (Didn’t everyone?) Now my dad has a date with my 15 year old nephew to see Jurassic World for his birthday. He loves dinosaurs and literally can not wait to see Jurassic World. I can’t blame him. Any movie that is action packed with awesome special effects and stars Chris Pratt is a movie I know I want to see. And the wait is over. I was asked to share that Jurassic World has opened!

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World.  Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure based on characters created by Michael Crichton.  The screenplay is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver and Derek Connolly & Trevorrow, and the story is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver.  Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

Now I’m really intrigued! Without seeing the movie first and seeing how graphic the violence is, I am not sure if my kids are old enough to watch the movie. But I do know they are old enough to enjoy the LEGO Jurassic World Game which just came out!

My two older boys love to play any of the LEGO video games based on their favorite movies and characters. I plan to surprise them with the video game next week!
