My Sweet Morning Coffee Moments with Wesley #IDandMe

I often talk about how important my morning coffee is to me, especially since becoming a mom. It is a sweet indulgence that helps to wake me up and get me going in the morning. Lately however, instead of relaxing with my cup of joe, I am short on time to finish while it is still warm.

With the addition of my third son in March, my time has definitely become limited. I can’t hold Wes and drink my coffee. By the time I’ve gotten breakfast made for myself and my other two boys, Wesley starts to become restless and sad if left alone. So on most mornings I find myself bringing my breakfast to him. By sitting with him on the floor and eating, I keep him from the dangers of hot coffee and I get to eat without rushing.

And really, what is not to love about sharing my breakfast with this little guy?

In between sips of coffee and bites of my favorite cinnamon swirl bagel, I can offer silly noises and entertainment to my son while he rewards me with his adorable coos and smiles.

As an added bonus of having breakfast on my living room floor, I can look up at this beautiful spring view and enjoy my coffee while it is still hot.
