I love Not Me! Monday created by My Charming Kids so I’ll take this time to reflect on what I did not do this past week. Please take a moment to visit MckMama’s blog. She has taken this week off from Not Me! Monday to share some other news instead.

I did not almost have a panic attack after taking these pictures while visiting a new park yesterday.

August 30 2009 002I did not get so into trying to get a cool shot of Warren that he got away from me in this maze. And to get away, it didn’t only take just a couple of seconds for him to climb up to that area behind him in the pictures. I didn’t quickly try to follow but was slow because of my adult size and these small child sized spaces. And I didn’t completely FREAK OUT when I went around the corner after him and realized there was a steep drop to our right with absolutely no protection from falling. I didn’t thank my lucky stars when I reached him, as he giggled and laughed because mommy was chasing him.

And at the park we didn’t put our now three year old in a infant/toddler bucket seat. He is of course a little old for that, especially since he does just fine on a regular swing. So we didn’t..

August 30 2009 008And going to the park didn’t wear me out so much that I needed to take a 2 hour nap when I got home. Nope. Of course this wasn’t also brought on by a lack of sleep the last few nights. Perhaps because I spent too much of my free time online and finally broke down and watched a couple of movies. And these chosen movies wouldn’t have been 2 1/2 hours+ long. Not me! I always get my beauty sleep and feel refreshed in the morning and I never stay up too late just to get some more “me” time in.

And lastly, while cleaning up the house I did not catch myself singing, “Dirgy, dirgy, dirgy, dot a gota dirgy.” I would not let something silly my 3 year old says get stuck in my head, especially something that I don’t even know where it came from or what the heck the words really are anyway. Nope, not me!

  1. Ooh, parks make me crazy. My almost 2 y.o. will go head first down a slide and try to drop off a 4 foot platform if you aren’t RIGHT THERE to stop him. I think my blood pressure is sky high by the time we leave a park!!

  2. Oh, but it sounds like you’re so stuck with that song. Admit it, it’s infectious! 😀
Baby looks so cute! Good thing nothing bad happened on the park. Looks like he had a great time!
