I love Not Me! Monday created by My Charming Kids so I’ll take this time to reflect on what I did not do this past week. Please take a moment to visit MckMama’s blog and check out what she has not been up to this past week!

When needing some me time late this past Friday night and feeling very sick of sitting in front of a computer, I didn’t find myself turning on our Wii and (gasp!) playing Guitar Hero! Seriously, I have so many better things to do with my time like read a book, clean the house, blog, etc that I wouldn’t actually play a video game. I haven’t even played it for probably a year so why take it up now? If I did, I couldn’t explain it other than to say I wanted to do something that sort of used my brain but have a little fun at the same time. Call me unpredictable.

While cleaning on Saturday, I didn’t whack myself in the face with the vacuum cord while trying to get it unwraped around an ottoman. And I wasn’t sort of glad no one was around to see it because I was a bit embarrassed. (Yet here I am, NOT tell you about it!)

I didn’t placate my son and take these pictures of him just because he wanted to see himself on camera. So of course I didn’t take a picture, show him and then repeat this process. I don’t do these kinds of things either. And I don’t find it rather annoying that at random times he won’t let me take his picture at all, unless I want to capture him whining about it.

Oh my little ham.

September 13 2009 011Finally, my three year old son Lucian didn’t completely crack me up when we were at the Dollar Store and he said loudly while pointing to a toy car, “We can’t get THAT mommy! It is too expensive!” Seriously, is that even possible at the Dollar Store? I’m sure the lady in the aisle next to us must have been laughing on the inside because how can you resist? And I can’t say that the comment was the result of my husband trying to ween him off from getting a toy (even a little matchbox car) or asking for a large toy every time we visit Target. (As a side note, my husband is making progress on that!)
