Have you ever been to Puerto Rico? I had the opportunity to go to this All-Star Island two years ago for a long weekend. My only regret was that I didn’t have additional time to experience more of this beautiful vacation spot. Puerto Rico is filled with world-class attractions that will turn any trip into a 5-star vacation story. Some of the hightlights of my trip included spa services and salsa dancing, but I think my favorite experience was the San Juan Dreamed Daytime Sailing Tour.
We had the opportunity to see more of the island with Captain Judith and her assistant Richie on a gorgeous boat.
We were served appetizers and pina coladas while we toured the area and learned more about the history of Puerto Rico. The views were amazing and we even spotted dolphins. This was a very relaxing way to spend our morning. I could have stayed on this beautiful boat all day!
We also got the chance to experience the local cuisine. I enjoyed every meal, but my favorite was the Asian fare at Budatai. This restaurant in San Juan specializes in a menu filled with oriental inspired delicacies yet traditional elements of Puerto Rican cookery.
And of course I can’t mention Puerto Rico without mentioning the beautiful beaches. I loved this serene location outside the Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar Golf and Beach Resort.
If I were to got back, there is so much more that I’d love to discover. With no passport or need of a foreign currency, it is an easy way to travel. I don’t speak Spanish, but that wasn’t an issue at all. Puerto Rico is definitely a must-visit vacation spot.
Did you know that Puerto Rico has 270 miles of coastline? I’d definitely like to visit Flamenco Beach in Culebra, often cited as one of the best beaches in the world.
Here is my “Must Do” itinerary for next time. (And yes, there must be a next time!)
- Glow like an angel in the water in the Bioluminescent bays.
- Visit the only rainforest under US national park service, El Yunque, and climb to the clouds
- Horse back riding or the magnificent Camuy caverns that runs through the 3rd largest subterranean river in the world.

I would love to tour here and learn about the history of Puerto Rico. There beaches look so relaxing just to sit out with a drink and enjoy the view. The food looks pretty good, when I vacation I love to try new foods.
Looks like such a beautiful place to visit! I’ve never been before.
I’ve not yet been to Puerto Rico, it looks wonderful, I hope I can go soon!
