Ragu Tailgate Party {$300 AMEX GC Giveaway} #MomstheWord CLOSED

My husband and I are big football fans. Even though our team was a huge disappointment this year (sorry, Vikings but it is true!) it hasn’t stopped us from watching the games or still enjoying the season, especially since we both participate in fantasy football. I decided last month to prepare a fun tailgate party at my mom’s house and by using some simple recipes with Ragu and other party favorites, we had a great spread that was easy to prepare!
I decided to serve a favorite in our family, meatball subs! We were able to create these bad boys with some Ragu Tomato and Basil pasta sauce, flavorful prepackaged meatballs, mozzarella cheese and hoagie buns. I heated up the meatballs and sauce and assembled them before wrapping them in aluminum foil and baking them in a 350 degree oven until the cheese had melted. If you love garlic I highly recommending adding garlic butter to the inside or even the outside of the bun! Yum! And because they were wrapped they stayed nice and warm as they waited to be served.
We couldn’t just leave it at meatball subs (we love choices after all!) so we made a favorite of my mom’s for years, Rapid Ragu Chili! While we don’t prepare ours with light ingredients or serve over rice and we use our favorite Ragu Robusto varieities for even more flavor, it is an easy recipe to throw together without much fuss at all. You would never guess while you are eating it that Ragu is the base! Use your favorite chili seasoning mix instead of only chili powder for even more flavor. Top with sour cream and shredded cheese if desired.
Of course, what tailgate party wouldn’t include some sort of dip with chips for all the football fans? A favorite in our family is this taco dip. It goes fast and is treat for us all. In fact, I’m having a major craving for it as I type right now!

We also served other goodies like crackers and cheese spread, a fruit tray with dip, jello squares and more! And after seeing all these goodies I bet you’ve got the tailgate party itch as well!
