This is definitely my favorite time of year. The snow is finally melting in Northern Minnesota. The trees are starting to bud and we can actually see grass. Unfortunately for my 8 year old son Kurtis it is not the best time of year. Kurtis suffers from a very wide variety of allergies. He has several food allergies that make him break out in eczema, but far worse than that are his environmental allergies which cause him to have a stuffy nose, trouble breathing and trigger asthma attacks.
Last fall we had a real scare. Kurtis was jumping in the leaves which caused him an asthma attack. I don’t know why I didn’t think about it ahead of time. He is allergic to several of the trees in our area, so of course he is allergic to the leaves. He had never had any issues with leaves before, but last year it sent him into an asthma attack. It scared me to see him struggling to breath like that. We are constantly finding new allergy triggers for him and constantly adjusting accordingly.
Kurtis is on a daily prescription medication for his allergies which keeps things in check for most of the year, but during spring and fall we find ourselves looking for some extra help with his allergies. Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Allergy is the perfect over the counter helper for him. With an antihistamine and nasal decongestant, it provides just the help Kurtis needs to provide some relief for his stuffy nose and itchy watery eyes.
We have found that by using over the counter allergy medicines that control Kurt’s stuffy nose, he is less likely to have coughing and breathing issues which makes us all rest much easier.
In a great tasting grape flavor, Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Allergy has congestion-fighting power to relieve stuffy and runny noses, while providing relief for itchy and watery eyes, for children ages 6 and up.
I am so thankful for Dimetapp Cold & Allergy which helps Kurtis feel well enough to get outside and enjoy spring just as much as I do.
