I love browsing the aisles at Target to get some fun ideas for holiday decorating. Just when I think I know most of the products for Halloween decorations on the market, I come across this fun section in Target. If you ever wanted to think outside the box for pumpkins, Target certainly has you covered.
From paint a pumpkin to pumpkin face sticks, to add ons and pumpkin push ins in your favorite characters, Target helps you go beyond the traditional pumpkin carving. Many items could be used year after year and the prices are very affordable!
Target has gone a step further this year and provided three do-it-yourself craft projects that need very few supplies. And better yet, all of the stencils and iron on designs are available for download for free at target.com in their Halloween section!

Using the craft ideas offered by Target I was able to create this fun display for my buffet. The pumpkin and skull contain flashing lights but to the delight of my boys and were only $2.50 for the set at the Target Dollar Spot.
My husband was very interested to try out a pumpkin carving kit from Target since his older brother had been creating masterpieces on his pumpkins for years. He chose the owl from the four options at Target.com and went to work.

Our boys loved watching him work and but refused to get their hands slimy by the pumpkin guts. Instead they patiently waited for the end result and loved the flameless candle lighting their owl pumpkin!
I had never tackled iron on transfer before but the instructions included both at target.com and in the target brand iron-on transfers I received, it was much easier than I thought to create this fun tree themed treat bag! Now I’m looking for more projects like this and plan on making some pillow cases!
The buffet seemed like it needed a bit something extra so I put my typically sad little crafty “hat” on and came up with this easy banner. By using some Halloween cookie cutters to trace out shapes on construction paper, I was able to quickly complete this project. After adding some double sided tape, I measured out six inches between each shape cutout and added a colorful pom pom in between on some long black ribbon. One piece of tape holds up surprisingly well! I could have taken this one step further and used glitter glue to outline the shapes or add faces but I went the simplistic route instead. Actually assembling this is a fun project for all ages!

It is lightweight and gave me just what I was looking for! As a side note, the table runner also happens to be from Target and works perfectly for fall even though I bought it months ago!
I also added some sidewalk luminaries using the free printouts from Target.com. Simply cut each image out and attach to a white paper bag with double sided tape. I gave mine a little something extra with glitter glue. When Halloween arrives I will add a flameless candle to each bag to light our walkway. While we don’t actually get trick or treaters, our boys will love this!
Create your own Halloween display using the craft projects and free download art at target.com/halloween! (Just be sure to use Internet Explorer and not Mozilla Firefox or you may have difficulty!)

I can’t find anyplace to download something from the target websight and never saw stencils like that in the store. I called a guest services rep. and she thought I was nuts and said that you can’t downlaod from the website. What gives? I would love to have some of that artwork to make my own projects since Target won’t give me a display piece but I can’t see how you got the images!
