They sent me the Mom’s Baking for Friends Gift Basket so I could try out their goodies first hand. This particular basket is perfect for me since I love baking so I was happy to get my hands on a copy of the Baking for Friends Cookbook by owner and founder Kathleen King with more than 120 new recipes!

Besides the cookbook, I received four different kinds of baked goods including their shortbread. While still good on their own, they are dense and are best when served with coffee or tea.
Also included was this lemon pound cake loaf. The mini size was perfect and very moist and flavorful!
My six year old son Lucian couldn’t stop raving about the crumb cake. This crumb cake comes in an individual size which is generous and can easily be divided and drizzled with a buttery cinnamon crumb topping. He was still talking about it days later, wondering if we had more.
But the thing my husband and I couldn’t get enough of, what we hid from the kids because we were greedy and wanted them to ourselves were the infamous chocolate chip cookies! I really thought I wouldn’t be much of a fan because they are a crispy cookie. Typically I prefer a soft and chewy cookie and didn’t think these would really be my pick from the basket. My husbands thought the same thing.

That was until we tried them.

These crispy cookies are amazing! They literally melt in your mouth and have a wonderful flavor. Now I know why Tate’s Bake Shop in the Hamptons is famous for them.
