Now that my youngest is four, we love going to the movie theater as a family. This summer we definitely took advantage of our local movie theater’s special pricing on Tuesdays and free popcorn. Going to the movie theater has become a special treat so we are always looking for new movies to go and see like the new animated film, The Wild Life which hits theaters September 9th.
THE WILD LIFE Synopsis
From the over-exuberant parrot Mak to the snack-obsessed tapir Rosie, from the persnickety echidna Epi to the acrobatic pangolin Pango, from the ditzy goat Scrubby to the commonsensical kingfisher Kiki and the always-cool chameleon Carmello, things are larger-than-life on a tropical isle that is pure wild animal paradise. Then Robinson Crusoe, a marooned human, arrives in the midst of a furious storm, and their lives are forever changed by this bewildering new “creature.” No matter their differences, castaway human and quirky animals embark on an hilarious new adventure, building the island’s first tree-house and surviving together. But when two conniving members of the animal kingdom — the savage cats Mal & May – pounce into a battle for control of the island, Crusoe and his animal posse must uncover the true power of friendship against all odds (even savage cats). I like the community aspect of it. It’s more fun to watch a comedy together with a big group of laughing people. Plus, going to the movies to watch something on a big screen, with buttered popcorn and goggle-eyed kids, is so much more of a special event than sprawling on the bed with Netflix.

I love the theater popcorn. Am I the only one that gets tense at the theaters nowadays? Its not relaxing like when I was young. I always worry about someone shooting the place up now. My girls like going though.
