If the way to a man’s heart is truly through his stomach, I think I’ve got that covered this Valentine’s Day. In my experience homemade treats make great Valentine’s Day gifts for anyone in our lives! Wilton makes this even easier with all their fun Valentine’s Day baking products and ideas that make even the simplest treats look amazing and hard to resist.
Baking and decorating can be so easy and fun if you have the right tools. A great case in point is with cake pops. I had made cake pops before but always had to be quick. If you have ever worked with melted chocolate or candy melts you know that getting and keeping the right consistency is tricky and you run the risk of burning your chocolate while trying to maintain the right temperature for dipping.
I found the Wilton Chocolate Pro Melter a lifesaver! I really wonder how I ever did without it. With both a melt and warm setting, it is easy to achieve and maintain great results!

It also leaves plenty of time to decorate after your pops have had a chance to harden. By placing a bit of melted chocolate on the back of decorations it acts like glue and you can easily add to your cake pop. Tweezers and toothpicks really work well for this process.
I loved using the candy eyeballs to create these fun Valentine’s Day people. I like to think they are in a love triangle, with both guys trying to get the attention of the girl in the middle. I quartered mini marshmallows and with some white candy melts I easily attached them with my tweezers. Cute, right?
And because I love toasted coconut, I created this monster. I think coconut makes for great fur, don’t you? I actually felt bad watching my husband devour him. He was almost too cute to eat.
