Wordless Wednesday – Breathtaking Views

This past weekend we were blessed to have close friends from college stay with us overnight with their family. I was shocked to realize that it had been over 6 years since we had last seen them and yet nothing had changed except now we both have two kids. It was so nice to connect and I hope that it isn’t another six before we spend time with them again!

They live a few hours away and their children have never been to the area so we decided to take them up on top of the hill to really get some breathtaking views from above.

This park is so much more than a view but rather a perfect spot for the kids to explore and parents to take in the picturesque scenes. From a peace bell, rock garden, tower and gazebo overlooking Lake Superior and so much more, it is a photographers dream. (No wonder we happened upon several family photo shoots in session.)

Warren became obsessed with finding sticks while Lucian couldn’t resist snagging some rocks to take home.

It was  a gorgeous fall day spent with family and friends. What more could anyone ask for?

  1. Gorgeous – I miss taking trips up to the North Shore, Gooseberry Falls & Lake Superior. So much beauty, especially with the changing leaves!

  2. Beautiful shots! It looks like it was a nice day for everyone. I’m kind of envious of the fall pictures I am seeing all over the blogosphere today, especially since I am sitting here in a short sleeved top, short skirt and sandals. LOL

  3. We could not have asked for a better weekend!! So glad we were able to get together. I agree with the above comment that friendship isn’t affected by time – at least not true ones!!
