Wordless Wednesday – Sledding

Over the holidays we had the chance to go sledding with family from out of state. It was a fabulous time even though it was a bit on the cold side.  I’m so happy when I can capture moments like these, I only wish that sometimes I was in the pictures too!

I don’t know who had more fun, the kids or the adults!

You may think this is a pretty cute little snowman but you would be wrong. Warren was adamant that he had created a tower not a snowman.

Aw, precious.

Warren didn’t go on nearly as many of the runs as Lucian did, who was having a blast! The wind and bright sun wasn’t so appealing to Warren and the times he did go down he looked like this…

Lucian on the other hand couldn’t get enough and Daddy and everyone else was more than happy to oblige him!

When the harsh Minnesota winters question my resolve to live in such a cold place with so much snow, it is moments like these that make it all worth it.

Simply breathtaking.

  1. I have considered taking the boys out of school one day to go sledding. I still can’t stand the cold. Just think, we have 2 more months of this!! LOL Oh, and I love his tower.

  2. I am so jealous! I miss the snow and remember growing up just waiting for it to snow so we could go out and play in it. Looks like the children are having a blast.

  3. I have fulfilled my sledding quota already this year, lol. After about mid January I start to get cold and snow fatigue. Though I do enjoy sledding with my family after the first snow of the year.

  4. We don’t get snow like that here 🙁 the last time we went sledding like that was probably 6-7 years ago (one of the downsides of living in NC). It looks like everyone had a great time (even Warren, doing his best turtle imitation LOL) 🙂

  5. This was my 3.5 yr old granddaughter’s first winter with snow. She didn’t go sledding (not enough snow in Alabama!), but she did make snow angels and a snowGIRL!

  6. I wish we got some of this weather this past winter but we got no snow in GA. There’s always next winter! Great pics!
