Wordless Wednesday – Wilton Mom ReTreat

Warning: This post is anything but wordless.

One of my very favorite parts of being a Wilton Mom Ambassador is the Wilton Mom ReTreats. These events are spectacular as nobody puts on a blogger event like Wilton. (At least that I’ve discovered anyway!) This time around two guests were invited, including the talented Jennifer from Mama D and Da Boyz (shown below) and the sweet Sheena from Sophistishe.

Today we worked on decorating a white, five tiered cake covered in fondant. We were given supplies and tools and the six of us ladies created this masterpiece in a little over an hour!

I worked on the heart border along with the top tier, all done with fondant. It was so much easier than you might think. I can’t wait to tell you more later this month about some amazing new products that Wilton will be introducing. It certainly makes cake decorating more accessible to everyone!

I also got to hang out again with Jennifer from MomSpotted (as you can see from our cute but very blurry picture below) along with Caryn from Rockin’ Mama and Tanya from Mommy Goggles.

Couldn’t someone have told me my hair was puffing out? 🙂

I feel very fortunate indeed to learn so much from Wilton experts and participate in these fun events. Watch for more posts coming soon from the Wilton Mom Retreat!

  3. How fun! This year I will be attempting my first fondant cake for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. I will have to catch that post about new Wilton tools for fondant. New presses? Cutters? I just love it all. Definitely a Wilton-holic!
