Last week was crazy busy with travel but I still found some time to make something tasty with my mini chef. I’ve found since making it a priority each week, I’m guaranteed some special one-on-one time with my child. I was already making a homemade veggie cream cheese appetizer (watch for that recipe later this month) so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to make another flavored cream cheese. Ever wonder how to make honey nut cream cheese? It is ridiculously easy and a perfect three ingredient recipe for any mini chef!
For Wesley’s birthday I finally picked up a kid safe knife set for him to practice on. We’ve graduated from cutting soft fruits with a butter knife. Now that he is five, he is more than ready for something more advanced. I was surprised just how will his knife chopped the pecans for this recipe. He loved working with his own knives and I loved the safety features.

The quantity of nuts and honey for this recipe will really depend upon your personal preferences. I like mine just a little sweet with plenty of nuts!
