Several years ago my husband built a wooden platform for a gazebo. We wanted an outdoor space where we could entertain guests and just relax. Unfortunately our home didn’t have a deck or patio when we purchased it 10 years ago. While our backyard is gorgeous during the summer months, it isn’t anywhere close to being level enough for furniture to sit directly on top. The platform was a perfect solution.

Because they can handle the elements and don’t need to be removed for the winter, they feel permanent. And yet because they use a clip system to install them, we can easily take them out, move them around and do whatever we want with them afterwards.
As a bonus they are made from recycled rubber tires and environmentally friendly. With every two Envirotiles purchased, a tire is being saved from a landfill!
Sweet.
I love when I can find a solution to my problem that also helps the environment.

We’re taking this project on this week so watch for more posts as it all comes together!

I can’t wait to see how the space turns out. I think those tiles are going to be so pretty there.
I can’t either! Although I’ll admit I have a pretty good idea since he is just finishing up the project. 🙂 I’m looking forward to decorating the space to make it more inviting and seeing it all come together!
Love DIY projects in progress. It is a lot of fun to see the progression.
I do too Colleen! I better get cracking at the second post with my shopping trip so I get closer to the actual reveal! My hubby is just about done with the project and then it is MY turn in the space.
I can’t wait to see how this turns out!
Me either! We decided that my Mother’s Day gift would be me going shopping for some new chairs and some flowers. Can’t wait to brighten up the space! 🙂
That will look so nice!
I think so too Ellen! Can’t wait to finish it up later this week.
Those are really cool. When I saw the photo on Pinterest, I thought it was a brick patio. Can’t wait to see the progress!
I’ve always wanted a gazebo. I can’t wait to see how yours turns out!
You better post your finished project! I bet it will be so pinnable!
Looks nice already!
Ooh! This is neat! We want to do some work on our own backyard so I pinned it for inspiration! Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
I can’t wait to see how your project comes together!
Lovely projedt! Your family will enjoy it for years to come!
I think those will make a big improvement to your gazebo space. It’s nice that they can be moved around and reused.
This looks like a great project.
