It won’t be long and my little guy will be three years old. THREE! How did this happen? It seems like just yesterday that he was turning one. We had a fun “ball” themed party in primary colors. We kept it small with just family to not overwhelm him. He wasn’t sure what to make of all, but was really happy all day.
Originally I had planned to make him a 3D ball shaped cake, but that didn’t work out as planned. Instead, I went for a dome shape and decorated them with bright M&M candies. It worked out well and was definitely easier to transport than the 3D cake would have been. I also made him cake ball cupcakes. Overall the homemade desserts ended up being a lot of work, but made me feel good to make them special for his big day.
Wesley kept going after the candy on the side of the cake, so we had to hurry a bit.
I think he liked his chocolate cake, don’t you? The pure joy on his face says it all!

My favorite milestone is when they began to giggle and laugh, the sweetest moments.
My child’s favorite milestone was potty training. We tried for months and months and she still had accidents then one day she just decided it was time. Only had one more accident a few weeks later but none since then!

I loved watching both of my kids taking their first steps – dd was at 13 months and dd was at 15 months!
