We all know that Valentine’s Day is a great way to show someone we care. And while it is good to show our love and appreciation year round, that doesn’t mean we should skip out on Valentine’s Day either. I remember when I worked in an corporate office setting how it felt to have something delivered to the workplace. How much I appreciated having a something to look at all day and be reminded that I was thought of on this special day. It didn’t have to be anything expensive, just the thought alone was enough. I think most people also appreciate these gestures. If you are stumped on what to get your special someone on February 14th, here are some tasty gift options I received for review from Gourmet Gift Baskets.
I’ll admit I was a little shocked by the 3.5 gallon Chocolate Dreams Tin shipped from KingofPop.com. Filled with three different kinds of gourmet popcorn, it is certainly bigger than I had expected. You’ll find cookies ‘n cream, peanut butter cup and mint cookie mayhem. This tin is also available in 1 and 2 gallon sizes so don’t let the size overwhelm you! ($24.99-$59.99)
It was well sealed within the tin so I received very fresh popcorn. It is also quite sweet and tasty!
How did the popcorn live up to the picture?
The only differences I noticed from the picture are style of the tin and the drizzle over the peanut butter cup popcorn. The tin style doesn’t bother me, but is something to keep in mind. The drizzle would have been a nice touch.
Another great food option for Valentine’s Day are chocolate covered strawberries. While they don’t last as long as the popcorn, they certain are a wonderful treat, especially in winter. The Hugs & Kisses chocolate dipped strawberries are perfect gift for someone you love! Offered in quantities of 6 or 12, these strawberries are hand-dipped into white, milk, and dark Belgian chocolate and decorated with X and O embellishments and red confection. ($34.99-$49.99)
How did the strawberries live up to the picture?
The strawberries I received were all evenly sized and much bigger than those pictured which I loved. The heart, x and o embellishments however were very different than what is pictured online. They are made of pure sugar so not necessarily something you want to eat. Didn’t affect my enjoyment, but definitely worth a mention.
