Comfortable Activewear at Target #C9atTarget

My body’s been changing constantly in the last year as I learn a new fitness routine and way of life. When I first purchased something to wear to the gym I was incredibly insecure. Most of my fitness gear consists of black yoga pants (the modern day mom’s uniform) and basic t-shirts from the men’s department at Target. I’ve struggled to find a pair of comfortable shorts and with my body still changing I need something that stretches with me. I recently made a trip to Target, my go-to store for pretty much everything, in search of the perfect shorts and a new sports bra. I looked for several of their capri style pants but nearly everything was sold out with Grandma’s Marathon coming quickly (an international event here in Duluth, MN). I was interested in the socks but they max out at size 9 and I’m a 10. I did find my size in the shoe department though. A benefit of big feet is having the size in stock more often. I love all the color in the C9 by Champion line!

I was amazed by the variety of style and color in their sports bras. Everything I currently have is cotton and the wider shoulder strap/racerback style. I loved the thin strap and the nylon/spandex material on the center two styles pictured above. I bought this blue seamless cami. I also liked the pink version but it had soft cups and I thought they might be a pain to keep in place after washing and it was a bit more expensive for the same amount of comfort. I did have some friends comment on my social media posts mentioning that they had trouble finding a C9 bra that fit them. I think most of these women have a larger cup size than I do so support is a bigger concern than I have.

By the time I left Target the sun had set and my girl was in bed. We had a busy day coming and I was excited to try out my new C9 gear! I picked out two pairs of basic mesh shorts (pictured left above). I’m between sizes right now so I got the black/white pair in a size smaller with hopes that they’ll fit soon. Call it motivation. The draw-string waist should allow the bigger pair some life even if they’re a bit big. I also got a basic pink athletic shirt which. I mentioned the blue cami bra earlier.

My absolute favorite purchases are the gray capri pants and the blue yoga top. I feel feminine and comfortable but still stylish in these. I love the longer sleeves and the fitted waist with drape in just the right places.

Unfortunately I have a stress fracture and tendinitis in my left foot right now so my workout routine has been put on hold until I heal. I’ve had to find some creative ways to stay active. Saturday was the perfect opportunity to try out the new C9 gear.

We spent the day as a family on one of the first beautiful days of spring… finally. We hung out in the back yard, went to a park to play with the dog who was in desperate need of some exercise, and flew kites for the first time with our daughter.
