Finding time to sit down for dinner during the summer months with kids can be tough. But honestly, I don’t always want to. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy our meals in the outdoors and on the go.  And even when we are at home on a hot day, I really appreciate having a night off from both cooking and clean up afterwards.

Coca-Cola and Walmart have teamed up to make summer family meals a little more convenient, so you can spend time doing the things you love. They’ve created effortless meals for parents, with different kid-friendly options available at Walmart Supercenters nationwide.  You’ll find take ‘n bake pizza, sandwiches, and marketside rotisserie chicken meals with sides so you can quickly and conveniently pick up Walmart and Coca-Cola meal products without the hassle of cooking.

A couple of weeks ago, I couldn’t decide on what to have for dinner. It was very hot outside and the idea of being over a hot stove or turning the oven on was not appealing. I already knew of the effortless meals program so I headed out to my local Walmart to pick up dinner.

Coke Walmart Effortless Meal Deal in storeI grabbed my middle son’s favorite, rotisserie chicken, and picked out a coke product and a side. (With this meal deal you can choose one side from potato salad, macaroni salad or coleslaw.) I topped it off with some fresh fruit and dinner rolls.  Because all of these items are near each other in the front of my store, I was in and out in just a few minutes.

Walmart Marketplace Coke Meal DealWhen I arrived home, putting dinner together was easy. I simply cut up half the watermelon while my husband cut the chicken.  I decided we should have a picnic outside to enjoy the fresh air.

Whether the effortless meals go along with you to a picnic, or the beach, these pre-made meals offer more family time, and a chance to relax! Visit MyCokeRewards to see all of the meal deal options at Walmart!

Anything you can do to simplify dinner time is wonderful. As a mom with a full time job outside the home, dinner time is always the most stressful time of day for me. Rotisserie chicken is one of my favorite ways to make sure I don’t stress myself out over dinner. I love that you made it fun for your kids, too!

Your boys are just too precious. I make this roasted chicken sometimes too & buy the macaroni & cheddar salad (hubby likes that one), and then buy some half corn on the cob. Done in about ten! ehehhehe love it.

With kiddos a grab and go meal is great every now and then! I also love freezing crock pot meals ahead of time to make dinner easier – just throw thaw the day before, toss in crock pot & voila!
