When you live in Minnesota, a special milestone for any baby always include snow activities. Since my youngest was born in March, he completely missed any winter activities during his early months. Even the following year he wasn’t walking yet and didn’t really like the cold. Last year we broke records in terms of snowfall and record low temperatures that lasted forever it seemed. But towards the end of winter we had some warm days with a lot of snow at our disposal and we made the most of it. I took all three of my boys outside to enjoy some much needed sunshine and exercise. We laid in the snow soaking up the sun’s rays and had a blast sledding around our backyard. Wesley especially loved this activity.
I can understand why. After being cooped up all winter with over 75 days of subzero temperatures, actually playing outside felt like such a blessing.

This day really stood out for me as special. I remember looking at my boys and remembering how fast they grow. It is definitely these moments that make motherhood amazing.
Of course, getting Wesley to come in was the hardest part. Now Wes loves all outdoor activities like building snowmen and sledding down our small hill in the backyard with his daddy.
