We are celebrating a new book release from the creator of Goodnight Moon thanks to our sponsor HarperCollins!
Goodnight Moon is a classic children’s book that all of my kids have enjoyed as part of their bedtime routine. I bought our first copy as a gift for my oldest son’s first Christmas. We still have that same board book sitting on their bookshelf, long after many other board books have been donated. As you can see, the binding shows its wear but is still holding up strong. This book will be a family keepsake that I can pass down or read to my grandchildren.

If you also love this classic children’s book by Margaret Wise Brown with pictures by Clement Hurd, it makes the perfect gender neutral baby nursery theme. I created two different quote printables from the book, either of which would look adorable framed and hanging on a wall! I used the beloved last lines of the book: “Goodnight stars. Goodnight air. Goodnight noises everywhere.”

The first printable I created with a neutral gray and black color scheme in mind while the other features a soft yellow moon and gray text.

Our family was excited to find out that Margaret Wise Brown wrote a previously unpublished companion to Goodnight Moon called Good Day, Good Night that was recently released this month! My five year old still loves to read Goodnight Moon so he really enjoyed this book as well. It is recommended for ages 4 to 8 so he is the perfect age. We look forward to this routine every night and it is great quality time together.

Following a similar peaceful rhythm and soothing words found in Goodnight Moon, Good Day, Good Night is another great bedtime story to settle children down for the night. Wesley especially loved finding what he called an “Easter egg”. Can you spot what book the bee in the picture below is reading?
It is a super sweet addition to our book shelf!
