Luvs “First Kid /Second Kid” Online Video Series Offers a Good Laugh for Parents

There is no denying that as first time mothers we have a lot of learning to do. With each of my subsequent children I found myself more relaxed so that by the time my third was born, I was pretty calm about everything. What worried me as a first time mom hasn’t really phased me as a third timer.
Luvs finds the humor in this with their series of “First Kid/Second Kid” online video, showing how many moms do things differently the second time around. These tongue and cheek videos should have virtually every mom chuckling, whether it describes her or not. For example, the dad in the “Temperature” video cracks me up as he apologizes to his adorable baby girl after reading about just how you take an accurate temperature of a baby.
One video I could really relate to was “” which takes a light-hearted, humorous look at the wonderful world of breastfeeding in public. While I’m still not quite as confident as the mother in the video, it is so true that with each baby I’ve breastfed, I’ve become more at ease.
My good friend Kate at The Shopping Mama first shared this video with me a few weeks ago and several of us moms were in agreement. Breastfeeding should be something that is viewed as natural and we shouldn’t be forced to hide. I still use a cover up but I applaud this woman for telling the waiter like it is! I wish I her guts.
And while my diaper bag was always jam packed with my first born now I often just use a small diaper clutch which I keep inside my purse. It seems the longer you are a parent the less likely you are to want to lug a bunch of stuff around. Once you realize what it is that you really need to take with you, you take only the bare minimum. As you know, I just LOVE these videos. I think they’re hysterical. The breastfeeding one hits close to home as my approach has changed A LOT from first to third baby.
Now that was hilarious! I’m not a Luvs fan but they nailed that breastfeeding video.
They did nail the breastfeeding video Cat. So true, I’m noticing I’m a little less reserved when it comes to bf, not sure why. I kinda feel empowered because I can give my son food like no other food can.
As a mom of one (I’m older and can’t have any more due to complications) I find the 2nd time mom to be so offensive. Not all of us were clueless with our first (and only). Sorry I didn’t have a chance to have more and to learn more but please have the awareness thst not all of us were given this chance.
It is hard for to believe that there are so many mothers with absolutely no sense of humor. The Luvs commercial about 1st child and 2nd is the funniest (and probably truest) commercial of all. Why can’t it be downloaded? Breast feeding is hillarious too. You deserve an Blue Ribbon Award for Advertizement!
