When it comes to toys for my kids, I really appreciate those that offer open-ended play. Toys without sounds or lights, but allow their creativity to shine are my favorite. The Mega Bloks First Builders collection is a great option for my two year old to mix and match different sets. The larger, chunky pieces are easy for him to work with and they are easy to clean up afterwards. Mega Bloks recently sent me one of their latest sets, the Mega Bloks First Builders™ Fast Tracks™ Raceway.
Mega Bloks First Buildersâ„¢ Fast Tracksâ„¢ Raceway
Drivers, start your engines! Gear up and get ready for some high-speed adventures with the Fast Tracks Racing Team by Mega Bloks First Builders. Your little race car driver can build with the tracks and blocks and mix and match the race cars for endless play. Use the colorful stickers to create even more imaginary fun. Watch as they screech and vroom through the raceways, and the fans in the stands cheer them on! Who will be in the lead, as the checkered flag is waved? Ideal for ages 1 to 5.
With an affordable retail price of only $19.99, the set includes two mix-and-match buildable cars which snap off into three pieces and can fit on top of the blocks. (Two on the top and one on the bottom.) It comes with 50 pieces, including new easy-to-build tracks and three building plates, but you can easily add to the set with other Mega Bloks First Builders sets.
My husband was easily able to switch the set up into multiple designs in just a couple of minutes. When my son gets a bit older, he’ll be able to create his own race tracks designs!
A sticker sheet is also included to customize your little racer’s blocks and cars!  With the two cars included, it is perfect for having races with playmates. I would love to purchase some additional cars for the set, but my son is happy with two. He liked watching them race and go down the tracks! You can find even more cars in the Mega Bloks Fast Tracks Rescue Team set ($29.99).
This would be a great gift for the holidays!
