Pineapple Fluff is the ultimate fluff salad recipe you can serve year round! Featuring simple ingredients like canned pineapple, coconut, Jello, mini marshmallows and Cool Whip, this recipe is quick and easy to make in just a few minutes. If you enjoy fluff salads without cottage cheese or pudding, you have to try this fluff recipe with sour cream!

Pineapple Coconut Fluff is so quick and easy to whip together anytime you want a light dessert salad or are looking for the perfect dish to bring to your next cookout or potluck. It’s always a hit and pairs well with a variety of dishes.
This is a fluff recipe with no cottage cheese. While many love that type of fluff salad, if the texture or flavor turns you off, I’ve got you covered with this recipe. It also has no pudding like many other recipes for fluff.
Instead this is a fluff recipe with sour cream like this strawberry with cool whip dessert and mandarin fluff. I find with the canned fruit and coconut flakes, the sour cream tones down the sweetness a bit and adds a nice tang over pudding. That is probably why I love this recipe for 5 cup salad and this applesauce jello salad which doesn’t have sour cream but has sprite which offers a similar tanginess.

How to Make Pineapple Fluff Salad
This pina colada salad is so quick and easy to make and I’ll show you just how easy in a few steps! Start by placing your sour cream and pineapple jello in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until very well combined.
Drain both varieties of canned pineapple very well! I let it sit for a while in a strainer and gently push down to make sure I’ve gotten any excess juice. This fruit salad will last longer if you do and watery fluff salad doesn’t taste as good.
Add your drained pineapple chunks, crushed pineapple, coconut flakes and mini marshmallows to the bowl. Stir just until combined. Fold in Cool Whip whipped topping.
Transfer to a serving bowl and chill for at least one hour.
Right before serving, garnish with maraschino cherries (rinsed and dried to avoid the red juice seeping into the salad), chopped nuts or more coconut, if desired.
This is a creamy, dreamy fruit fluff. If you love pina colada flavors, you’ll love this recipe!
How long does pineapple fluff last?
Not long in this house! While pineapple coconut fluff is best enjoyed in a day or two, it can last up to 3 to 5 days when stored in an airtight container. Over time it may start to get a little watery, Draining the pineapple very well will help it last.
