To make this easy fluff salad recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • pineapple Jello gelatin (3 oz box)
  • sour cream (plain Greek yogurt can be substituted)
  • canned pineapple tidbits or chunks
  • canned crushed pineapple
  • mini marshmallows
  • shredded coconut (sweetened coconut flakes)
  • Cool Whip whipped topping
  • chopped pecans for garnish (optional)
  • maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)

If you aren’t a fan of chopped nuts, you can skip them or garnish with your favorite toppings like more sweetened coconut, crushed pretzels or crumbled vanilla wafers or graham crackers.

How to Make Pineapple Fluff Salad

This pina colada salad is so quick and easy to make and I’ll show you just how easy in a few steps! Start by placing your sour cream and pineapple jello in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until very well combined.

Drain both varieties of canned pineapple very well! I let it sit for a while in a strainer and gently push down to make sure I’ve gotten any excess juice. This fruit salad will last longer if you do and watery fluff salad doesn’t taste as good.

Ingredients

  • 1 box 3 oz pineapple gelatin
  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk pineapple gelatin powder and sour cream until well combined.

  2. Fold in well drained pineapple (both kinds), coconut flakes, and mini marshmallows.

  3. Gently fold in whipped topping until fully combined.

  4. Transfer to a serving dish. Cover and chill until ready to serve, at least one hour.

  5. Garnish with maraschino cherries, and chopped pecans if desired before serving.
