The whole family will love these flavorful and juicy pork loin chops that are perfectly seasoned with a little crisp around the edges.
I’ve been using a lot of pork lately with the growing cost of groceries. Pork is a relatively inexpensive option for feeding my family of five. These bone-in pork loin chips are large, and satisfy even my three teenage sons who can be big eaters.

Ranch Pork Chop Ingredients
Only a few simple ingredients are needed to make these baked pork chops.
- pork loin chops (bone-in)
- ranch dressing mix (Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning packet)
- Parmesan cheese (I used grated but you could use shredded.)
- olive oil
- paprika
- dried parsley
- dried dill
- salt and pepper to taste
That’s it! You can make your own ranch dressing seasoning mix if you prefer or use fresh herbs if you have them available. If you need a recipe that is dairy free or you just don’t like Parmesan cheese, you can leave that out.
You can skip the olive oil, but you may get some patchy or dry spots. Be sure to not over cook and spray your baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray or use parchment paper to avoid sticking.
How to Make Ranch Pork Chops in the Oven
To start, take your pork chops out early and let them come to room temperature before cooking, around 20-30 minutes. This helps the pork chops cook more evenly and get juicier results. When meat heats up too quickly, it can tighten up and lose moisture faster.
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Mix together your Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning Mix, Parmesan Cheese, paprika, dill, parsley, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.
Pat your pork chops dry, remove any excess fat and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and work the oil into the meat with your hands. This helps the seasoning stick, promotes better browning and locks in moisture.
Add the seasoning mixture to the top of your bone in pork chops.
Let rest for a couple of minutes before adding to a preheated oven.
Bake for for 18 to 25 minutes, depending upon thickness to an internal temperature of at least 145°F (68°C). You can broil for the last 2-3 minutes if you prefer golden, slightly crisp top.
Broiling (Optional):
Broiling for the last 2–3 minutes is a great option if you want a golden, slightly crisp top and a bit of extra color and texture without overcooking the inside.
How to do it:
- When the pork chops are almost done (around 140–143°F internal temp), switch your oven to broil.
- Move the pan up to the top rack, about 6 inches from the broiler.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
- Pull them at 145°F, then let them rest for 5 minutes.
