Vintage Style Doll Accessories from The Queen’s Treasures + $130 GIVEAWAY

Over the past few months my 8 year old daughter Danica has become extremely interested in learning to sew.  It started a year ago when she got a toy sewing machine for Christmas.  I started teaching her with that, but quickly moved her to my Mom’s old sewing machine as it worked better.  For Christmas this year she got a variety of sewing accessories from her Grandmother and is now sewing her own clothes, pillows, and sleeping bags for her American Girl Dolls.  Because of this recent sewing obsession I knew she would absolutely love to have toy sewing machine for her doll too.

I was absolutely amazed with the quality of detail put into this sewing machine and accessories.  From the beautiful silver colored faceplate, to the opening drawers, it is all very realistic.  Danica absolutely loves the drawers.  Not only can she store the accessories included in the drawers, but she loves putting her other doll accessories in them like her dolls glasses.

Accessories include:

• wooden scissors
• pin cushion
• measuring tape
• 3 spools of thread
• small piece of fabric

The little scissors are amazing.  They are made of wood, so they won’t actually cut, but they do move like scissors and are sized perfectly to fit in Danica’s dolls hands. Danica also really loves the little tomato pin cushion as it is just like the one she uses when she sews.

The treadle (pedal under the machine) is connected via an elastic cord so you can actually push it up and down like you are working an actual vintage sewing machine.  (None of the parts on the actual machine move.)

Both the machine table and stool are sized perfectly for 18″ dolls.  I did have a little trouble getting the doll to balance on the stool, but that is because the dolls legs don’t bend.

I know this is a keepsake toy that Danica will treasure for years to come.  I will definitely be looking to The Queen’s Treasures vintage style doll accessories for Danica’s next birthday to fill some of her wishes.
