Last night after Wesley’s last feeding before bed, I went through my usual night time routine. Of course that includes on checking on each of my older boys and making sure they are covered and not about to fall off the bed. It is often interesting to see the positions they get themselves into.
That is, until I can’t find one of them.
Lucian was missing from his bedroom. I assumed he was sleeping with Warren in his full sized bed but Warren was alone. I checked on the floor beside the bed and even in a couple of bigger boxes in Warren’s room as he currently has several in there for forts. Nothing.
My next stop was checking in on my husband. I found one of the kids’ big blankets in there and assumed he was wrapped in it next to Joe. I almost stopped looking but decided I better feel around just to make sure. Nope. Turns out that it was just fluffed up with some other bedding.
Where could he be?
I was starting to get a little worried. Was he in the playroom downstairs? Not likely.
I decided to check again in his bedroom. Definitely not in there.
Back off to Warren’s room. I look to the left to see more boxes that I hadn’t yet checked. He couldn’t be in there could he?
Why yes, yes he is!
How can that be comfortable? I’m not even sure how he got that shallow box to stand upright while he got inside.
Mystery solved. Next was getting him out and tucked into bed.
The life of a parent. Good times, good times.
