Wordless Wednesday – The Cat in the Hat is Irrestible

Typically when I make footwear purchases for my boys my top concerns are comfort, practicality, price and overall look. Well, I didn’t quite make it with these Dr. Seuss Converse shoes on all the fronts but seriously how could I possibly resist? The Cat in the Hat was just looking at me, begging me to take him home to my Cat in the Hat loving son Lucian.

So what rules did I break with these shoes? Any guesses?
It was not the cost if that is what you are thinking. I picked these up for a whopping $8 and change after discounts at Kohl’s a couple of weeks ago. (LOVE Kohl’s!) And while Lucian says they are comfortable, they are anything but practical when trying to get out the door and having to stop to lace these bad boys up. But alas, I do it all.

I love them! They are really cute. Journey has a some Converse high top style ones like that but it is Sesame Street themed. I would have gotten them if they had the right size. Sometimes you just can’t pass up cute.
$8 WOW! My son has the Cat in the Hat lowtop converse and loves them. I wish I could find some for that price
