Halloween is a very fun time to get creative in the kitchen. Â Regardless of whether you have a lot of time or baking knowledge, it doesn’t matter. Wilton has you covered with some products that make it so simple to create some sweet Halloween treats, regardless of your skill level. No excuses for not having a bit of fun! And as a member of the Wilton Sweet Treat Team, I’m happy to share five easy Halloween treat ideas!
Last year I was challenged by Jo-Ann Fabrics to come up with a Halloween Treat using products from a box they sent of Wilton goodies. I used this Witch Cupcake Combo Pack to make these Buried Witch Cookie Balls. They tasted so good and were took very little time to make. You could easily use this buried witch concept with other treats such as cupcakes or chocolate pudding covered in cookie crumbs.
You can also simply use the kit as intended and create cupcakes. Instead of the stars included in the kit, I decided to use sprinkles from this Halloween Sprinkle Mix.
Another easy idea are these Bloody Eyeball Halloween Cupcakes which use the Red Vein Candy Eyeballs and some Blood Red Sparkle Gel. Â Make mini cupcakes like I did and you can offer guests a pair of eyes!
Making something a bit unique also doesn’t have to take a lot of effort. I made these Halloween Cupcakes with Marshmallow Toppers easily with some food safe markers from Wilton and a flat marshmallow designed for s’mores. Â You can draw anything you like or even display a message with different letters on each marshmallow. The possibilities are endless.
If you can’t find flat marshmallows, you could easily draw fun faces like a ghost, witch or Frankenstein with traditional marshmallows.
These White Chocolate Banana Ghosts from Jill Schultz are also a super easy way to celebrate the season using bananas, bright white candy melts and candy eyes.
