Bacon Ranch Dip Recipe Ingredients
To make this simple bacon ranch dip recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- cream cheese: full fat version for the creaminess but you can use the light version if preferred
- shredded cheese: I used pepper jack but you can also use cheddar cheese, Monterey jack or Mexican blend.
- sour cream: full fat version was used but lite can be substituted
- Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning Mix (or your favorite dry ranch seasoning mix)
- bacon: freshly cooked and crumbled or precooked
- green onion

If you like an extra thick and creamy dip, you can swap out half the sour cream for mayo. Not a fan of green onion? You can substitute some fresh parsley or dill weed.
How to Make Bacon Ranch Dip
To start preparing the cheese dip, slice your green onions into smaller pieces. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, add your softened cream cheese and beat until creamy. Next, add in the ranch seasoning mix and sour cream. Stir until completely combined.

Fold in shredded cheese, green onion and bacon.

Gently mix until well combined. Transfer to serving dish. Cover with plastic wrap and chill at least one hour.

Garnish with crumbled bacon and green onion before serving.

That’s it! That is all there is to creating an easy cold appetizer for a party! This dip is so creamy, delicious and flavorful.

What to Serve with Bacon Dip
Now that you’ve made this bacon ranch dip recipe, you might be wondering what to serve alongside it. There are so many great options! Here are just a few of my favorites:
- crackers: A wide variety pair well with this dip. From buttery classics like Ritz crackers, to flavored varieties like everything but the bagel seasoned crackers, you can easily find the perfect combination for your tastes.
- pretzels: This includes standard pretzels, pretzel crisps, pretzel rods or pretzel snap varieties.
- chips: From tortilla chips to potato chips to seasoned varieties like cheddar and sour cream or sour cream and onion.
- veggies: Any dipable fresh vegetables pair well with this bacon cheese ranch dip. Try carrots, cherry tomatoes or sliced bell peppers. If you are need low-carb options try celery sticks, broccoli, cauliflower or cucumber.
- bread: Any fresh crusty bread tastes delicious with this dip such as french baguette, sour dough, or ciabatta.

Since my husband is sensitive to gluten and sometimes following a keto diet, we like to include gluten-free crackers and fresh veggies. I personally love Club crackers and tortilla chips with this ranch and bacon dip.
