Fun in the Sun with the Perfect Portable Snack

This is a sponsored post. All thoughts are my own.

This summer has been a bit of a challenge when it comes to entertaining my kids. Our usual water activities are out for my 10 year old. He is sporting a cast after a bike accident left him with two titanium rods in his arm. And since we live in the land of 10,000 lakes, it is unusual for us to stay clear of the water. Instead we’ve been making the most of our local children’s museum and heading out to the park to enjoy the nice weather.

Since my youngest is now five, I no longer have hover over them like the helicopter mom I once was. I can actually enjoy a little “me time” in the shade while keeping an eye out at the same time. I’ve been packing bottles of water and snacks to enjoy while I read a book on my beach blanket.

While some people struggle with late night snacking, it is the midday slump that always has me hunting for something to tide me over until dinner. So I like having a protein packed snack that satisfies my sweet tooth like these new Yoplait Mix-Ins.

The Yoplait Mix-Ins are seriously something special and more unique than my usual granola. Even my little guy noticed when he came by for a break from the sun. When he looks at me like that, it is hard not to share.

It is the perfect snack for me that doesn’t leave me feeling guilty for indulging. This yogurt is so good! It is the perfect blend of creamy and crunchy.

It was hard to choose from all the awesome varieties so I have to try all of them! They will be awesome to have on hand for a quick breakfast, snack at my desk or late night dessert.

Look for Yoplait Mix-ins the the yogurt section of your local Wal-mart in the following flavors:

  • Very Berry Crisp
  • Salted Caramel Pretzel
  • Mint Chocolate Delight
  • Key Lime Crunch
  • Coconut Chocolate Almond
  • Cherry Chocolate Almond

Which would you try first?

Here’s to enjoying the rest of our summer vacation outdoors with plenty of fun in the sun with snacks at the ready!
