St. Patrick’s Day Green Yogurt Fruit Parfaits

St. Patrick’s day is almost here. Here’s a fun excuse to make a special treat for yourself or the lucky leprechaun in your life. You’ll need yogurt, strawberries (or the fruit of your choice), cereal (I used Lucky Charms and granola), and sprinkles. My five-year old daughter had so much fun making these and thought they were delicious.
I suggest using a clear glass/bowl for your parfait so you can see the layers through the side. If you want to decorate the rim it’s easiest if they fit into your yogurt container. If not you can scoop the yogurt into another dish for dipping.
Dip your cups or bowls into yogurt to make a rim. If you want them more precise you can wipe the edge a bit.
Then dip your rim into a dish filled with sprinkles of your choice. The sugar sprinkles worked best for me in this festive green.
Add a few drops of food coloring to a dish of yogurt and stir. Kids love this part! Once mixed, add a serving of yogurt into your serving glass/bowl.
Cut fresh fruit and add it on top of your green yogurt. The bright red strawberries are a beautiful contrast to the green.
Next add the cereal of your choice. We used Lucky Charms for my daughter’s parfait to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. I used granola on mine with a few shamrock hats for fun. Yummmm.
Serve and enjoy this festive St. Patrick’s Day treat as a sweet, crunchy snack.

I can’t believe that no one has said it yet. You didn’t even say it in your post. It is a iconic catch phrase.
(In an Irish accent):
Wait for it…………
Wait for it. ……….
“THEY’RE MAGICALLY DELICIOUS! ”
