It’s hard to believe that the school year is coming to an end. We’ve had such a long wait for spring this year I was caught off guard. My daughter’s last day is coming quickly. She’s had such a great year in preschool with two amazing teachers who truly give their all every day. We wanted to give them a special thank you gift to show our appreciation.
You might remember that we started the year with a teacher appreciation gift. Those cups were meant to be used in the classroom with a closed lid and straw and was filled with goodies for the classroom. At the end of the year I wanted to change the focus from classroom-friendly items to a theme of relaxation. Encourage your favorite teachers to rest and relax over the summer as they have some kid-free time to enjoy outside of the classroom.
We went to our local dollar store and found these fun tiki glasses that are just waiting for a fruity summer drink. We then picked out items to help our teacher rest and relax being sure that they would all fit into the glass. No wrapping needed! We chose: nail polish (Nora ensured they matched the glasses), nail files, gel eye masks, chewing gum and a snickers bar. You could of course swap out any of these items and let your child pick out something that you think their teacher would enjoy. Perhaps they’d enjoy a different snack.
Open your relaxation items and let your child put them into the cup. Of course a note from your child would be the perfect addition to this gift.

It always nice to get an unexpected gift! This is a cute idea. My daughter is always telling me that her teacher loves Butterfinger candy bars. Wonder if that’s a hint from the teacher?!?

What a great idea. I love that you went to the dollar store to get them keeping the price down. I have five grandchildren and it could get pretty expensive. School is already out here but I will be making these next year with the children.
