Air Fryer Radishes are a delicious, low carb alternative to potatoes! Once radishes have been roasted, their flavor is more mild and has wider appeal. All you need is 15 minutes to make roasted radishes in your air fryer! This recipe features fresh herbs and garlic, but you can substitute dried herbs for this easy side dish.
My husband has been following a keto diet for the past couple of months. And one of the hardest things for him to give up were potatoes. While roasted radishes are not exactly the same, they are really quite similar in appearance to baby red potatoes and mimic a similar flavor and texture. Fresh radishes lose that spicy flavor when they have been cooked so don’t let an aversion to raw radishes fool you. He absolutely fell in love with this keto radishes in the air fryer recipe!
This is a versatile vegetable that pairs well a variety of dishes, such as air fryer thin pork chops or a cast iron skillet steak.
Air Fryer Radishes Ingredients
This air fryer radish recipe only requires a few simple ingredients!
- radishes
- basil
- parsley
- garlic
- olive oil
- sea salt
- ground pepper
I used fresh parsley and fresh basil, however if you don’t have fresh herbs, dried herbs from your pantry can be substituted. If you prefer butter to olive oil, you can try these buttered radishes instead. If you have extra fresh parsley to use, try this arugula pesto recipe!
How to Make Radishes in the Air Fryer
To roast fresh radishes in the air fryer, you’ll want to start by preheating your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Wash your radishes and dry them off. Trim both ends and cut in half. You want your radishes to be of a similar size so they are finished cooking a the same time. You may need to quarter large radishes or leave the extra small ones whole for more even cooking.
Place radishes in a medium sized mixing bowl. Add in freshly chopped parsley, basil, minced garlic, sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and toss well to fully coat the radishes.
Place radishes in air fryer basket.
Cook for 12 to 14 minutes or until tender and lightly golden brown, tossing occasionally.
Garnish with additional chopped fresh parsley or basil if desired. Serve immediately. Tastes great served with sour cream or drizzled lightly with a bit of balsamic vinegar.
My husband devoured these radishes and loaded them up with some a flavored sour cream. He couldn’t get enough of them. But regardless of whether you are eating low carb, these air fryer radishes just make for a tasty side dish. Serve them up with your favorite chicken, beef or fish dinner! If it is a meal that you would serve with an air fryer baked potato then this recipe will fit in nicely, such as parmesan crusted steak!
