This Greek Jello Recipe is the answer for when you need a simple dessert that is light and creamy! With just two ingredients including Greek yogurt and strawberry Jello, you can enjoy a fruity and sweet treat that takes just a few minutes to prepare. As an added bonus, its a make-ahead dessert that offers some protein and is easy to transport. Serve it up as an everyday snack or at your next holiday dinner or potluck and watch it go quickly!

Two Ingredient Jello
I’ve made two ingredient jello before with this jello ice cream dessert. The result is a super quick and fluffy mousse. This one is just as easy but instead of vanilla ice cream, uses vanilla Greek yogurt.
Which is better? Tough to say but I think I like this Greek yogurt version a bit better. It is less sweet and offers a slightly creamier texture. Plus, I love the extra benefit of protein in the yogurt! I try to sneak in protein wherever possible, like with this Greek yogurt protein ice cream or oat peanut butter protein balls.

This is a super creamy, light and fruity no-bake dessert that you can enjoy year round! Switch up the gelatin flavors and garnishes for more variety.

Greek Yogurt and Jello Recipe Ingredients
While you can add some finishing touches to this creamy jello dessert, you really only need two ingredients:
- Greek yogurt
- strawberry jello or your favorite flavor (can use sugar free)
If you would like to add some garnishes to your jello and Greek yogurt, here are a few options:
- whipped cream
- whipped topping like Cool Whip
- fresh fruit
- fresh mint
- sprinkles
- mini chocolate chips
- crushed vanilla wafers

How to Make Greek Yogurt Jello
It doesn’t get much easier than this jello recipe but I’ll still quickly walk you through the process.

Start by adding your jello gelatin in a large mixing bowl. Pour boiling water over the top.

Give it a good whisk until the jello has completely dissolved. Pour in cold water and add the Greek yogurt.

Whisk again until fully combined and pour into a individual serving dishes or a large serving bowl.

I used a variety of small dishes to give my family more options on serving sizes. If you are using a 6 oz. cup or parfait glass and fill to 2/3 of the way up, you will yield around 8 servings.

I like to place mine on a small baking sheet lined with a silicone baking mat to keep them from moving around and spilling. Transfer to the fridge to chill until fully set, at least a few hours.

Garnish with whipped cream and fresh strawberries if desired. If you need your yogurt jello to sit out a bit longer, I recommend just topping with just a strawberry half or using COOL WHIP whipped topping to avoid it melting.

Sugar Free Jello and Greek Yogurt Substitutions
This recipe can be made with a few substitutes which would affect nutrition information.
- Sugar Free Jello: If you want to cut calories and sugar by a significant amount, use sugar free jello. You will save approximately 81 calories and 20 grams per serving, with 8 servings total in this recipe.
- Vanilla Greek Yogurt: You can add vanilla Greek Yogurt instead of plain if preferred. I do recommend whole milk yogurt. I’ve made this with Good and Gather Vanilla Honey Blended Greek Whole Milk Yogurt and it was so good! This will slightly add more calories and increase the sugar, depending upon what brand you choose.
- Plain Yogurt or Non-fat Greek Yogurt: If you want to swap out the whole milk Greek Yogurt for a different variety such as plain yogurt (not Greek) or non-fat Greek yogurt, you can try it. Whole milk is definitely more creamy but offers higher calories and fat. Nonfat Greek Yogurt is lowest in carbs and sugar and highest in protein but you won’t get that same level of silkiness. Regular nonfat yogurt has fewer calories but slightly higher sugar and lower protein.

Not only is it a delicious everyday treat, but it also makes a simple and festive dessert for the holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines’ Day or the 4th of July, or for your next cookout or potluck!
