Frozen Coke Ingredients
If there were ever a recipe that didn’t really need any list of ingredients, it is this one. You just need two cans of Coke and some ice, but here is a list anyway.
- Coca-Cola (or your favorite cola variety)
- ice
- maraschino cherries optional, for garnish
- flavor additions: splash of lime juice, flavored syrup such as cherry syrup or the juice from the maraschino cherries jar to create a cherry coke slushie.

How to Make a Coke Slushie
The steps are quite easy for how to make frozen Coke but I’m going to break it down. You do need to plan ahead to give your Coke time to freeze. There are ways around this such as freezing your coke part way (right in the bottle), but blending it is key to getting for that nice slushy coke texture. The best way of doing that is to fully freeze half your Coke.

We have this large silicone ice cube tray that is designed for cocktails, such as whiskey for a slow melt. It worked perfect for this project because it is small and easy to fit in my freezer. I just covered it before placing it on a level surface in my freezer.
It does take longer to freeze these thicker cubes, approximately 4-6 hours so if you are short on time, smaller cube trays would be a better choice.

Removing is also a breeze. However, if you don’t have a powerful blender, I do think traditional ice cube trays would be a smart option for creating a smooth and consistent texture. My ninja blender just blew through these ice cubes no problem.

Next you’ll want to add another can of cold Coke and a few extra ice cubes. How many is entirely up to you and your desired consistency. Somewhere between 6 and 10 is a good number.

Put the cover on your blender and blend until a slushy consistency. If you have a powerful blender, this won’t take more than 10 seconds or so. You may need to pulse it.

And that is how to make a slushie with Coke at home! It really is that simple.

Serve it in some fun glasses along with a garnish, like maraschino cherries or a lime wedge.

When to Serve Frozen Coke
This frozen Coke drink is great to serve when a refreshing beverage would be much appreciated. Some ideas include:
Hot Summer Days: On hot days, a frozen Coke can be a great way to cool down. Enjoy as a beverage or even a tasty dessert.
Parties: If you are hosting a party in your backyard, such as a barbecue or pool party, a slushy Coke would be a popular treat. Likewise it would also make a special game day or birthday party drink option!
Movie Nights: Enjoying a frozen Coke during a movie night can enhance the experience, similar to the frozen drinks often served in theaters. Tastes great served with buttered popcorn and candy!
Overall, any occasion where a cold, sweet, and fizzy treat would be enjoyed is the right time to serve a frozen Coke.

You can serve your Coke slushy with a straw, or spoon, or both! Personally, I love the texture as it sits and melts a bit. But if you are looking for a true slushie experience, be sure to serve as soon as possible after blending.

If you are wondering how I managed to put so many pictures in this post of such a simple concept and recipe, I understand. I had so much fun making and shooting this frozen Coke recipe that I just couldn’t help myself! It is really such a fun way to enjoy a Coke.
