Pumpkin Fluff Dip Ingredients
Just a handful of ingredients are required for this pumpkin fluff recipe. You’ll need the following:
- canned pumpkin: Make sure you are using just canned pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
- instant vanilla pudding: You can also use french vanilla or cheesecake flavored pudding, as long as it is instant pudding.
- vanilla yogurt: While this recipe was only tested with vanilla yogurt, you can also substitute sour cream or plain yogurt or Greek yogurt.
- pumpkin pie spice: None available? Make your own pumpkin pie spice. Can also use just cinnamon if preferred.
- COOL WHIP whipped topping: Can opt for the lite version or even fat free cool whip if preferred or try homemade whipped cream instead.
How to Make Pumpkin Fluff
It doesn’t get much easier than this recipe! To start, grab a large bowl and add in your can of pumpkin purée, instant vanilla pudding mix, yogurt and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk together until fully combined.
Fold in whipped topping. Transfer to a small serving bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Chill until serving, at least 30 minutes.
Garnish with your favorite dipper and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon, if desired. Store leftovers in refrigerator for up to 4 – 5 days.
What to Serve with Pumpkin Fluff Dip
Not sure what to serve with your pumpkin dip with Cool Whip? There are so many great combinations that work well with pumpkin. Here are just a few of my favorites:
- pretzels: Pretzel twists along with pretzel sticks, pretzel rods, pretzel bites or pretzel crisps would all work great.
- cookies: A wide variety of cookies would pair well including vanilla wafers, ginger snaps, Golden Oreos, chocolate chip cookies or animal crackers. Any of your favorite cookies will work!
- graham crackers: Try graham cracker sticks for easy dipping, but traditional graham crackers work well too.
- apple slices: Use your favorite variety of crisp apples such as Granny Smith, Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn.

this was delicious despite the fact that I didn’t know how much whipped topping to use as it isn’t listed as an ingredient in the recipe. Folding in the whipped topping is mentioned in the directions but not the recipe ingredients list.
I am so sorry for this omission!! So glad it was still delicious. I’ve updated the recipe card. Thank you so much for letting me know!
